When people hear “hormone therapy,” they often think about hot flashes, night sweats, or libido. Those concerns matter, but hormone balance can affect how you show up in nearly every area of daily life.
A recent 2026 systematic review of testosterone therapy for female sexual dysfunction found meaningful improvements in sexual desire and related outcomes, with the strongest evidence in postmenopausal women. The authors also found promising, though more limited, evidence in premenopausal women.

In the bedroom
Balanced hormones may support desire, arousal, comfort, sexual satisfaction, and intimacy. The goal is not simply “more sex.” It may mean feeling more comfortable in your body, more interested in connection, and less distracted by dryness, discomfort, fatigue, or low desire.
In the office
When sleep, mood, energy, and concentration improve, many patients report feeling more engaged at work. You may find it easier to stay focused in meetings, follow through on priorities, communicate clearly, and manage the demands of the day without feeling constantly depleted.
Hormone therapy is not a substitute for sleep, nutrition, stress management, or evaluation of other medical conditions. For patients whose symptoms are hormone-related, treatment may help remove some of the barriers that make work feel harder than it should.

In sports and the gym
Hormone balance can influence recovery, body composition, bone health, and physical function. In appropriately selected patients with hormone deficiency, treatment may support strength, energy, and the ability to stay consistent with training. It is not a shortcut to athletic performance. Progressive exercise, adequate protein, hydration, and recovery still matter.

In friendships and relationships
When you are exhausted, irritable, anxious, or disconnected from your body, it can be harder to be patient, spontaneous, and socially engaged. Improving sleep, energy, mood, and confidence may make it easier to make plans, laugh more, and be emotionally available to the people you care about.
This is one of the most meaningful parts of feeling better: not just functioning, but participating in your own life again.

Your treatment should be personal
BHRT is not one-size-fits-all. The right plan depends on your symptoms, medical history, hormone levels, goals, and response over time. We use individualized treatment and follow-up to help determine what is appropriate for you.
If you have been feeling unlike yourself in the bedroom, at work, in the gym, or in your relationships, schedule a consultation to discuss whether hormone optimization may be part of the solution.

Now for the sweet part! The last couple of weeks have been eventful over here. Meet Luna. She was found inside an abandoned property on July 27. A closet door had fallen on top of a laundry basket that she and her sibling were in. Who knows how long it had been there! Mama cat couldn't get to them, the kittens couldn't get out. A tragic story for Luna's sibling as she had succumbed to her horrific situation, but Luna was heard crying and was saved. She was a pitiful 200 grams, approximately 3 weeks old and severely dehydrated, malnourished and anemic from flea infestation. Now, a couple of weeks later she is a whopping 495 grams.
